If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Rev. Powell

I like the fact that they don't take themselves seriously. Punk music needs a sense of humor.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Humor is an essential ingredient with Punk for the most part.

Flamin' Groovies? Hell yes!
I think so too...that's why I rarely listen to Black Flag anymore...
I prefer the Ramones and the Cramps!

Hey Ron, I know Let It Bleed is your favorite STONES album... definitely in their top.  I had it on vinyl!  Sh!t is it 40 years???   I mean since my own copy had been new, I know the record is more like 50 years old... :bluesad: :teddyr:

I don't think it's one of their great albums.  They followed up with albums like Beggar's Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile On Main Street ...  it doesn't even come close.

LOGGINS & MESSINA  Sail Away   I bought this used CD for my friend and uploaded it.  I still have the CD; we lost touch though I heard about her recently because of a death.  Her son will probably go to prison for life.  My dear friend.

^ Woah! Back up! Her son killed her?  :buggedout:

I always liked this song- reminds me of the very first girlfreind I ever had. Her folks got murdered years later.

No, I'm sorry.  She had attended a memorial for a mutual friend who had died about a month ago.  She lives out of state, but her son was this year found guilty of murder (apparently he killed his drug dealer in the house he grew up in that I've been in numerous times).  I didn't see her myself, but I love her.

I think of this song I think of Altamont.
The concert that killed the 60's.

Actually-it defined it. What I remember of the 60's was Vietnam and Manson. I remeber Woodstck, too. My Ma was there. I told you all this s**t...!
