Wow, I think you have Ghost Rider ranked a bit too high there.  He's good but not that good...
I found a good rankings http://www.bigsmudge.com/rankings/top-100-comic-book-characters

This is less based on opinion and more based on general population votes.

There's no real order. Everyone just posts what they want. I just posted him first as I started the thread and he's my fave.

In other words, they made H.P. Lovecraft goo, not H.G. Wells goo. They need to keep their mutants straight."-Joe Bob on FOOD OF THE GODS II

Been a while since I posted in this thread, but I think I have a new top ten:
10.) The Riddler (Batman)
9.) Raphael (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
8.) Wolverine (X-Men)
7.) Beast (X-Men)
6.) Peter Parker/Spider Man (Spider-Man)
5.) Casey Jones (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
4.) The Penguin (Batman)
3.) The Joker (Batman)
2.) Dr. Octopus (Spider-Man)
1.) The Hulk (The Incredible Hulk)

I love the Bat-villains the most, although I'm more of a Marvel fan and am actually a bigger fan of the Spider-Man/Hulk books.  But I think Batman has some of the better written villains: Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Mad Hatter, Anarky, Mr. Freeze, Harvey Dent/Two-Face, etc.

But Carnage has extra powers which Venom can only dream about. plus, he's a psychopathic killer that will stop at nothing to see Venom's entrails Twirling
