Guest review by Andrew Weaver and Jed Siple.  A vegan villain uses animal control to threaten the whole world with rabbits, frogs, and vicious rainbow trout.  The CIA is powerless to stop the attacks, so they call on super secret agent Bill Cosby to save the world.

Apparently, Bill Cosby himself went on talk shows, denouncing the awfulness of the film and warning people not to waste their money on it.

I remember this was one of the first films that I rented.  It was horrible overall, but it is in between the case of either being so bad it's good and so bad it's horrible.

Not only does he defeat the one bad guy with a hot dog, it's a magic hot dog.  Just look at the sparkles it gives off.

I have to tell you, vampire vegan or not, I wouldn't put that thing in my mouth.

The killer rainbow trout was kind of funny, the cute white bunnies attacking Joe Don Baker was funny, the frogs taking out the one CIA agent (and his car) was funny.  Unfortunately, that was about it for funny.  Defeating the lobsters with the sticks of butter completely failed.  Sewer Urchin did it a lot better in "The Tick."

I agree that this is a truly horrible film, and a waste of Cosby's comedic talents. But the scene where Leonard drops the dead, sopping wet CIA agents (who he has been draggin by their neckties) in front of Joe Don Baker...well, it actually made me laugh.

Briefly.

I had the misfortune of seeing this in theaters when it originally came out. I was only about 11 years old at the time. Went to see it with a friend of mine and his parents. I distinctly remember his dad uttering within earshot of us "I can't believe that I wasted money for 4 tickets on that piece of sh*t!"

I saw about five minutes of this, and that was enough to last me the rest of my life. One wonders why someone who had such success in so many areas ("Why is there air?")
would be a failure in films. There was this one, and then only three years later, there would come "Ghost Dad," which is almost as bad as this one. Still he made a number of decent films. "Hickey & Boggs" w/ his "I Spy" co-star Robert Culp. "Mother, Jugs, and Speed," guess which part Bill played. And "The Devil and Max Devlin." There again, guess which part Bill played.
