63. Pervirella (1997)

Hailed as some British cult classic that was going to launch Alex Chandon as a "the next big thing". Pervirella is a god-awful mish-mash of low-rent Terry Gilliam and Russ Meyer. I only bought it on DVD, due to my infatuation with actress/presenter, Emily Booth. This may have been the most painfully boring flick I have ever witnessed.

64.) The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Sure it's a cult favorite but have you ever tried to watch it without the audience participation? You run the risk of going out of your mind. Granted, I love the film as a long time fan who would go to midnight showing of it with my squirt guns, melba toast, and other audience props. Yet when I got it on DVD and decided to try to watch it as a regular movie, I was able to see just how bad of a film it was. It's no wonder the audience began saying things and throwing things at the screen. It's the only way the movie is enjoyable.

Yes, yes I have. :) My eyebrows were raised very high that day, and yet I enjoyed it! (Still as I've enjoyed undubbed MANOS I may not be the best judge X) )

65. Monster a-Go Go
I can't believe everyone missed this film.  It sure isn't one of the most well known films, but to those who have seen the horror of it, you know how bad it is.  The first part of the movie was directed by one guy who ran out of money, and then a couple of years later, another guy took over and finished this terrible wreck.  Heck, even the first director said this was the worst movie around.  I think its on the same level as Manos, The Hands of Fate.  One last thing, the movie had the worst, unbelievable ending I have ever heard of.

I feel the opposite. I want to watch a film, not take part in it.

If it's "painfully boring" it doesn't belong on the list.

Ohh, man... :( My first entry, I guess, does not count then... Granted, I found it "hilariously boring", though I don't think others would share in my views...

All opinions count - if you enjoyed, that's what's important!  My point was just about movies that are "boring" (think MONSTER A GO-GO)  A list of BEST BAD MOVIES should all be fun!!  There are movies that are GREAT despite their BADNESS and movies that are GREAT because they're SO BAD.  Let's just avoid "boring".   Smile

For those nominations that may be removed I'd like to humbly nominate the following replacements: FLESH GORDON, MOM & DAD SAVE THE WORLD, FLESH GORDON MEETS THE COSMIC CHEERLEADERS, & SEX WARS; in that order.  And, yes, I know the latter is technically not a real movie as it's a porno but by Hekate's soured milk it's so bad it makes BEAST IN SPACE look like THE WIZARD OF OZ.

In the meantime I'd like to humbly nominate:

68?.  SPIDER BABY (1968).  I'm not sure it's so terribly "bad" as much as low-budget and offbeat, but if AHD can nominate CARNIVAL OF SOULS, then I nominate SPIDER BABY in the same spirit.
