1000 recordings to hear before you die - how many can you guess?

I'm enjoying the list by NPR music critic Tom Moon: several major agreements, and only one major disagreement---but I'm only in the D's.  I thought I'd give you guys a chance to see if your favorite recordings (not just albums, but some box sets and even a few singles) made Tom's list.

Too make it extra fun, I'll even keep score.  One point for each album guessed correctly (for classical recordings a bonus point if you pick the exact performance).  Limit yourself to one guess per post and try to pick recordings you think are universal, not just your personal favorites---because I'll subtract one from your score for each incorrect guess!

If you have the book, please recuse yourself from competition.

I just went to town on that piece of crap...(shameless plug)

No in all seriousness, I'd probably say something like "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" by Genesis or an album by the Ramones.

Rev. Powell

Burgo scores a point going for the obvious!

Circus scores a point for "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway!"

(And you have to be more specific than "an album by the Ramones"--which album?  You would lose a point for picking the wrong one.  If there is one, and I'm not saying whether there is or not.)

998 recordings left.

Def Leppard Hysteria

"Hysteria" was not on the list.  I'm afraid I must take your point away from you.   :bluesad:
