My favourite goof is probably one of the biggest goofs ever; the entire film Manos: The Hands of Fate.

For real though, probably the dipping boom mic in the beginning of Rocky Horror.

There's a scene in HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP when a character (I can't remember which one, help me out here!) gets blood on his shirt.  A few seconds later, he still has blood on his shirt, but it's in a completely different pattern.

In the Universal B-horror film HORROR ISLAND (1941) when the cast walks into the haunted house a very visible crewman in on the right holding a spotlight on them. He follows them with the light as they walk across the set and then clicks it off and walk off camera!

Hey Burgo,
What about the day-for-night-then back to day again crap when Vic Morrow and his goons went to set fire to the house?  I thought that was pretty unforgivable.

The character you're thinking of was probably the young friend of Johnny Eagle, who was attacked but not killed by the humanoids.  His girlfriend drove off a bridge when a humanoid jumped on her truck.

The TV show Dark Shadows is an absolute gold mine for this stuff.  It was a daily show, and they didn't have the time to reshoot every scene where something got screwed up.  One of my favorite flubs is when a crew member apparently knocks something over off-camera.  It makes a huge noise, but the actors manage to carry on without missing a beat.   You can occasionally see the head of a crewmember dart across the bottom of a scene, or a cast member wander into the closing credits.  In one scene there's a cat sitting on a footstool, and you can see someone's hands holding the cat in place.  One time a werewolf was attacking somebody, but the camera pulled back a bit too far and you could see the "grass" they were standing on was just some carpeting.  I think you could see the overhead lights in that scene as well.  Oh, and all the times somebody would bump into a tree and almost knock it over.  And shadows from boom mic's on the walls.  Hundreds of them.

It's a good part of the fun of watching the show  TeddyR

In The Muppet Movie, Fozzie gets some ice cream that magically changes color between scenes.

The original Halloween has a running goof that distracts me now when I watch it. The two houses where the girls are babysitting. Outside the houses, the front doors open from one side, but when you see the doors open INSIDE the house, they open from the opposite side. BOTH houses!!!!!!!!!  Whomever was doing continuity for that movie should be slapped. Still, great movie.

In one scene, a guy named Gaston is leaving out the door of the cabin and a split second later, he is back in the room 10 feet away from the door.

Yes, despite its goofs, the original "Dark Shadows" was a great TV series, and I enjoyed it immensely. But, isn't that the show where one of the actors bumps into one of the walls of the set, and though it is suppose to be a solid wall, the wall wobbles?

Space Mutiny - one of the characters gets killed, but she's alive and well in the next scene.

 Buggedout Buggedout

I am embarrassed to admit that I personally know the producers and the director of that film.  Buggedout

Really?  That's actually kind of cool... I mean, sure the movie wasn't the best, but many people can say they actually know SOMEONE who direct a movie that you can see (well, sorta) at video stores?

If you see him, ask him if he liked MST3K's treatment of the film (unless of course, you think that'll p**s him off, then don't ask...)

:)

Goofs you see a lot...

Movies that supposedly take place in America have a bunch of cars with Canadian licenses plates.  :)

Rocks are usually big for goofs, especially falling rocks.  Often you seem them "bounce" unrealistically off objects, almost as though they're made of plastic or something...

But to move on to specifics goofs... in the original Dawn of the Dead, there's a scene with Steven (flyboy) is in the main monitor room for the first time and some guy can be seen in the mirror walking around in the background.  Steven completely ignores it, and it's never brought up again.  (And this is BEFORE he encounters the dead janitor.)

Another good one, after the bikers invade the mall, one of them knocks a tepee over and a "dead" female zombie who's lying on the ground suddenly raises her arms as the tepee is about to fall on her.

I just remembered that I know the cinematographer as well.  Buggedout Buggedout And no, they're not aware that the film was riffed on MST3K.

A goof from the great Enter The Dragon ~ when Geoffrey Weeks screens the film for Bruce Lee showing him where he's going and who he's up against, the shadow of the 16mm reels shows no film in them.  TeddyR
