Ever notice how some folks are compared to other folks, with the exception of nationality, race, or even sexual preference? 

Like how Dario Argento is called the "European Hitchcock," or even just "Italian Hitchcock." 

I've been finding a lot of these, and I'm curious as to what other ones are out there? 

I've heard:

Takashi Miike = Japanese Tarantino
Koji Susuki = Japanese Stephen King
