This one-hit wonder song from the early 80's was was a major sap-fest. This Canadian band released one album, which enjoyed  some success in Canada, but was virtually unheard in the U.S., until eventually the band broke up, and then the song became a hit in the States in the late 80's. Efforts were made to get the band back together in response to the sudden surge, but everybody had gone their separate ways.

That is the worst thing I've ever heard!!  LINDSAY WAGNER CANNOT SING.  At all.  Not one note.  Zip it.  Zip it!!  

When you see them sing it, it makes it SAPPIER; Blondie really "emotes" ...over a ...dead horse?? Question  I love the record, though this performance is live:

Impressive Flickster, most impressive.  This is one of those ballads that gets lost in the shuffle a lot.  Either that or people burn lean tissue trying to figure out who sang it.

Look at the band! The guy on the far left and the guy second from the right are painfully geeky, while the other three are like the typical quaffed 80's hair-guys. Priceless.

Funny, my older sister had that album in the early 80's for some reason. I think she bought it and didn't much care for it and I ended up putting it on the turntable a few times. There are actually a couple of fairly rocking numbers on that album, and decently produced for an unknown band from Canda. But yeah, that ballad is just seeping maple sap.
