the music box theater in chicago is showing evil dead II at midnight
this weekend and next. this got me thinking---would it be worthwhile
or workable to have a special post area for theaters showing b-movies?
Like maybe posts (on a secondary board) under major city or area? for example:
Chicago; evil dead II; october x-y; music box theater.

Often these theaters don't really advertise unless you know where to
look...hard to do if you are from out of town or just lazy. It would be a great way to help support the theater b-movie scene.

Hey, I live in Chicago and I saw that they would be showing Evil Dead II at the Music Box in the Schedule a wihle ago. I said "Dad, You Have to see this f**king Movie!" anyway were gonna go this Friday, (At Midnight of course). Ive seen ED2 At least ten times on DVD (Which I own). But this'll be the first time I see it on the big screen. And of Course on the 23rd they will have ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK! f**k Yeah! If you have not Heard of the NU arthouse theter THE BLOCK in Evanston They will be Showing "The Beyond" (Fulci's Best) on the 16th from 8-10 pm. And on the 30th they Will be showing "Suspiria" (The only Argenot movie I haven't seen). I love this f**kin city!

It is a good idea, but honestly I'm overwhelmed with the site as it stands.  No way that I am going to try and take on anything else.

"Suspiria" on the big screen. If it's the uncut version, you won't regret it.

I saw this as the last movie of an horror night in an independant Theatre in Montpellier, and the only thing I must say : unforgettable.

It was 4:00 AM and my girlfriend was going to sleep but I told her "just look at the first scene, after that you could sleep". She saw it, and believe me that she couldn't close an eye for the rest of the movie.

Now, I'm waiting for my Anchor Bay DVD of "suspiria"

not to mention that the annual b-movie fest is held in evanston too.
