I made a huge mistake. This is very hard to type right now. I'm trying to get over how tanked I am. I was very sad that I am failing my classes (I think). As I type this I am trying to sober up before Mom sees that something is amiss. I had always heard before that alcohol numbs the pain. Being drunk is fun but Mom just came home and I don't want her finding out that I am drunk. Like a total moron, the first thing I tried was f**king whiskey. Which I followed up with Schnapps and Brandy because I couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting drunk immediately. I can hardly focus and I need to get sober before Mom notices something is wrong. Hopefully I am tricking her into thinking I'm doing homework. If she wants to play Skip-Bo with me I'm totally f**ked. How much longer is this going to last? This was a very bad idea.

I keep staggering around and I need to sober up right f**king now.

This sucks.

Llllliiittle bit easier to fess up when you are drunk than when your coming down.

I left my coffee upstairs. She's going to wonder why I didn't bring it down with me. s**t.

I can't even stand up to go get the coffee. s**t.

The coffee is cold now. I ran into Mom getting it and she doesn't seem suspicious.
I'm good at acting sober, it would seem.

I've only made like 1,000,00 typos I'm correcting while I write this.

I think it's starting to wear off. I think I'll be fine as long as I stay in this room.

She's talking to her friend Tori. That's helpful. That b***h talks forever.

You may have to avoid her tomorrow as I suspect you are going to smell of alcohol.

And likely be sick as a dog.

I guess she doesn't smell it. She seems to think I'm fine. I'm pretty sure I'm getting over it at this point.


I'm already sick so maybe she thinks that's just part of whatever virus I have.

Turns out I wasn't failing my classes at all. Also, Mom didn't figure it out.
Today was a great day.

Start drinking lots of water. It'll help you feel better in the morning. In the mean time try to just watch some TV or something that won't take too much effort. . . Like standing.

It doesn't sound like you drank too much.  Just enough.  You'll be fine and wiser.  Congratulations that you aren't failing at all!   :thumbup: :smile:

Oddly enough, I am 54 and I have never been drunk.
Don't think I am missing that much, to be honest.

DO NOT bend over or you will fall. hangovers create vertigo in people who don't actually have it. good that you aren't failing! if you decide to do something like this again, please ask the pro drunks like me and ronnie and cerberus first, okay?  :drink: :bouncegiggle: :cheers:

Neither have I: I have a beer with Mom once a year when I see her and that's it.

I got drunk once, that was enough for me to never do it again. Now getting buzzed is another thing that I do sometimes.

I didn't get a hangover.

I rarely drink these days (age 44), but once in awhile I will have a cider or two, but never enough to get "drunk"

In my 20s, mostly during college years, I drank a ton...and compared to others, I hardly drank at all. I remember one year, the party would start on Thursday night, which was industrial club night. We'd order pitchers of beer and drink them down. Then basically go to keggers on Friday and Saturday night. Pretty crazy times.

Drunken memories:

* First time I got drunk was when I was staying over at a friend's house; he lived in a far away different town at the time. We snuck out, walked a few miles into the country, and partied with a small group of people who's parents worked the night shift. Drinking games with lots of variety. Crashed that house's neighbor's dunebuggy on the railroad tracks that night, broke through the friends' front door as a prank (while dude was passed out at his own party), then walked back to initial friend's house at 6am and totally got busted by his parents. We got grounded to the house the rest of the weekend, but he snuck out yet again while I stayed at his place with is sister, hehe.

* Too many college drunken stories to count, but one time in particular was rather memorable. It was when I was about 22 when I hung out with these crazy guys from Cincinnati. I don't know why, but anyone I met from there was a serious partier. Anyway, we were partying at some guy's apartment, pretty tanked when some other guy starts s**t. Ignored at first, he persisted, and he ended up swinging at someone and got his ass beat, so he ran off. Some of us others went for more beer (walked to store close by) and noticed a wedding reception, so naturally, we crashed it. Went in, slammed drinks, got kicked out, headed back. One of the cincy boys had stolen a bottle of wine so we passed it around the four of us and guzzled it. Said guy who got his ass kicked returned with backup/friends. When the "friends" realized we were there (they knew us), they turned on that a***ole, and he got his ass beat again. Then the cops showed up. He got nasty with them, and got hauled off to jail. Later found out that guy downed a bottle of wiskey himself, so it's no wonder he was all wanting to conquer the world lol.

* Another time, I was hardcore slamming shots (don't ever friggin drink with Russians or Russian-Americans, holy s**t). After about 10 or 12, I passed out at a party. After an hour or so, I woke back up, went outside and ralphed, came back in and started doing more shots and bong rips. People thought I was crazy, lol.

Congrats on not failing. After dropping out of college from partying too much, and then later returning, I learned one important lesson: make studies a priority, but reward yourself with partying once you've reached milestone achievements, from time to time.

A friend on mine on the IMDB message boards, Dr Strangeposter, once posted that when he was a medical student the following happened after he tried a few jugs of homemade beer:

homemade beer CAN be mildly hallucinogenic, depending on the plant base. been there with cactus beer.

Dr Strangeposter did mention that he believed there were certain "herbs" floating around in the beer.  :drink: :wink:

tell him NOT to try mescal beer, lol!
