Title: REALLY CHEAP, CHEESY MONSTERS
Post by: alandhopewell on October 22, 2011, 12:10:40 PM
Post their pictures right here, like this one, from CURSE OF THE SWAMP CREATURE....

This picture was so poor, it should've come with a brick of Ronald Reagan cheese.

This has one of the most pathetic excuses for a monster I've ever seen....to quote an oldie but a goodie I've seen bathtubs that left a better film.

The Gargans from Teenages from Outer Space  Their just footage or live lobsters made to look bigger
(http://www.badmovies.org/othermovies/teenspace/teenspace7.jpg)

Or the spider from Mesa of Lost Women
(http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lfbj15gbrJ1qbcporo1_500.jpg)

And who doesn't love Reptilicus?

I'd say anytime a monster is portrayed by a marionette it's somewhat cheesy looking.

INVASION OF THE STAR CREATURES

FYI it's supposed to be some kind of plant man from the stars. The movie is a terrible A.I.P. comedy about two alien Amazons invading Earth and tangling with two hapless saps. The lady aliens are named 'Poona' and 'Tanga'. Seriously.

For some real 'Starmen' get a load of the aliens from WARNING FROM SPACE:

If you were to guess there are Japanese actors under those getups - you'd be right.

Here's a better version of Zilla more equipped with badness. Because while the design was laughably bad in the 1998 U.S reboot, they really went all out in 2004's Final Wars to make an absolute mockery out of it with not even a quarter of the budget which adds to the parody IMO.

There is a post about that one somewhere. That thing looks legendary. I used to have a phobia of it because of it's really bizarre appearance.

If I'm not mistaken, the monster in Creature from the Haunted Sea was made to look silly for comic effect, since the film is a spoof after all.

The monster from Larry Buchanan's "Creature of Destruction" (1967) and "It's Alive!" (1969) looks pretty bloody awful.

Alien from "Feeders".

z-grade shot on video, but released as a real VHS with regular box and so on.

I am lucky enough to own this one.

This pic is from the review here at badmovies.org.

There are even cheaper versions in the "film" that look like little aliens stick puppets.

That's from Ultraman 1966.The monster is 'Keela".
Ultraman Hayata has it out with the King of Monsters!

Of course, this was easy to arrange because Toho legend Eiji Tsuburaya's son owned TPS and Ultraman, so like father and son do now and then, they put their heads together and found a way to sneak an old favorite in w\o copyright violations (the collar around Keela's neck.)

I spoke to Mr. Godzilla himself, Haruo Nakajima (thru his translators) and he said he played the monster in Ultraman, as well many others in the show! How cool is that?   :bouncegiggle:
