Title: Battle of Algiers (1967) Post by: Scott on November 29, 2002, 01:14:17 AM BATTLE OF ALGIERS (1967) Its a French film with subtitles about Algerians fight against French colonialism. This is a good film that takes place during the 50's in Algieria and how the people of that region dealt with the French. Its especially significant considering our current "war on terror". Even back in the 50's muslims were assasinating, planting bombs in cafes, discos , and airports. This film is really good at grabbing your attention and has won 11 international awards.

Yes, BATTLE OF ALGIERS is the most realistic terrorist film that I have seen. The film was banned in France for a while. |
