Title: Semi-OT: A post about Superman V and Corman's Fantastic Four
Post by: dean on December 21, 2005, 04:45:36 AM
Wow...

I just read this post from another board and whilst I skipped most of it [it's a really lenghty post] and I don't know exactly how trustworthy all the info is, this post was an incredible insight into studio politics and just the general screw-up that has been Superman V.

An interesting read if you have the time on your hands.

The Story Behind Superman V (http://agonybooth.com/forum/topic2730.htm)

Also as a side note, that site has a link to a fun review of the Roger Corman version of the Fantastic Four.

Either follow the links in the above link or go straight HERE (http://www.agonybooth.com/fantastic_4/) for more.

Just thought I'd let you all know!

That Superman article is just sick. Why did the studios and Burton feel that Superman needed to be reinvented? What would be so wrong with Superman the way he is supposed to be?

Yeah, that whole thing, if correct [you never know right?] I just incredible in it's crap-ness, with a 'no flying' Superman who instead teleports from place to place, or god forbid is a gadget reliant, 'Supermobile'- driving person who gets his superpowers from a costume in a can!

My oh my, those folks are just crazy.  Sure you can tell fans to get over it, and they will by panning the crap out of such stupid ideas.
