It's like intentionally bad mall music.  I looked up "Cat Scratch Fever" (a song I loathe) hoping it'd be funny.  It just sucks too.

Sometimes a style of music gets an unfair rap. The Moog synthesizer has a reputation for being "cheesy", but I like the sound, and I think these guys play them with exceptional skill and clever arrangements. To each his own. (The original "Cat Scratch Fever" does suck, though, and that cover is not one of my favorites on the album).

I like BAD music... almost as much as I like BAD movies.  Who else would have stayed up last night until nearly 4am watching GYMKATA (talk about BAD)?  Yet, I don't think I could listen to much of that.

But I'm not alone: All Music Guide gives it four-and-a-half out of five stars: "All ten tracks are great, but the best are a space-age funk version of Led Zeppelin's 'Whole Lotta Love' (with the middle breakdown section containing snippets of the Who, Pink Floyd, and others) and a patriotic version of Kiss' 'Rock and Roll All Nite.'... Highly recommended."
