I read a trivia question recently that said LAWRENCE OF ARABIA is the only Best Picture Oscar winner that had no women in it.  I've seen this movie 4 or 5 times and I guess I never noticed . . . are there truly NO women in this movie?  None?  It's also nice to note that Donald Wolfit who starred in BLOOD OF THE VAMPIRE (see my post in "Humorous Captions") is also in LAWRENCE OF ARABIA!

What are you all talkin' 'bout?   "Non-intrusive...?" "Good movie?  "No women...?"

1. I don't know how to respond to "...non intrusive but helpfull listings section..."
2. LAWRENCE OF ARABIA isn't a Good movie, it's a GREAT movie.
3. There are no significant female roles in LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, but y'might catch a glimpse of one in the Cairo or prologue sequences...  Are there women in Faisal's tent?

Number 3 falls under the category of "All Male Cast," and while there have not been alot of films with an all male cast, between 1934 and 2009, there have been 49 films made in which no females appear. These are the ones I've seen, excluding "Lawrence of Arabia," which I have also seen, and I can concur there are no females in any of these films.

12 Angry Men (1957)
The Great Escape
The Thing (1982)
Sleuth (1972)
The Hill
Sahara
The Enemy Below
The Bedford Incident
Lord of the Flies (1963 and 1990)
The Lost Patrol
Guadalcanal Diary
Ice Station Zebra
