Title: National Lampoons Loaded Weapon 1 Post by: chainsaw midget on January 20, 2020, 11:53:47 PM I don't think this movie gets near the respect it deserves as a comedy classic. It's got all the rapid fare pace and energy of Airplane or Naked Gun with some wonderful comedic performances by Emilio Estevez, Samuel L. Jackson before he was a big name, and Jon Lovitz with William Shatner and Tim Curry as the bad guys ("Wiillderness Girls").
It's just a wonderful parody of the Lethal Weapon movies and cop movies in general. You all have seen it right? What do you think? But I still crack up at the dinner scene with the dog and the son playing footsie with Estevez. And the convenience store bit is terrific. I was falling over when I saw this in the theater. So wacky!
