Title: Session 9 (2001)
Post by: Trevor on August 22, 2023, 12:33:11 PM
I was warned not to see it back then but I would like to see it.

Should I see it?

I think I've seen it and from what I can remember it was decent but not outstanding. Go ahead.

Same thoughts here. Decent but not outstanding. See it if you want, you won't miss much if you don't. It has its fans.

Agree with the rest. It was alright, but it's just the same "twist" that you probably saw a million times already. It had way much more potential and I feel it was quite wasted.

A decent chiller just for the atmosphere alone, and considering how short it is, I say go for it. I gave it a bad score (4/10), but that's just because I've seen way too many horror movies, and this one came as generic and tiresome to me.

The building is cool. It's an old mental hospital or something.

Yes, the Danvers Mental Institution I think.

It was ok. But as others have said- I've seen all these tropes before.
I think it was trying (too hard) to be a film about discrimination.

My aunt worked there before it was decomissioned in the 1980's, in the late '70's my cousins and I got to see inside of it while she was working and it was a sight I will never forget, No wonder it was considered haunted

It's one of my favorite horror films, although you'll likely get the "twist" way before it takes place. M. Night Shyamalan has really spoiled us.
