Title: Movie about a helmet that could ID the living vs. the dead Post by: Shoelessbum on January 31, 2013, 10:45:13 AM I saw this one in the 80's. It's about a group of scientists in a lab who develop some sort of astronaut suit with a helmet that when you put it on and look at things it would be able to tell apart between a dead and living organism (in the flick they were testing it with a plant) and it'd show you all kinds of stats about it in the display like composition, etc. Then something terrible happens at one point (don't remember exactly what) and the town ends up full of infected/looking like dead people and maybe monsters. Then one of them inventors ends up utilizing the helmet to rescue his family. At one point he had to go down some sort of cliff (sort of like the one in The Abyss). They may have been celebrating Halloween which is why the guy could get a way with wearing the suit.
