Title: Game Of Thrones crewmember killed by lion in South Africa
Post by: Trevor on June 03, 2015, 08:14:37 AM
This is definitely not a pleasant story: a Game Of Thrones special FX editor was mauled to death by a lion at the Gauteng Lion Park earlier this week. Reports indicate that she disobeyed park rules by leaving her window open during the park drive through and this was the result:

Many of us are so far removed from Nature-in-the-raw that we have lost the awareness of how unforgiving it is.  Such a sad, unnecessary thing to have happen.   :bluesad:

Rules

1. Why there are rules.
2. Why the rules apply to each of us.
3. Why we should obey the rules that apply to each of us.

And stupid or not, and I agree with the stupid, my heart still goes out to her family.

Yeah, similar things happen in America's parks too.  Sad.  I remember stories about people trying to put their kids on bison in Yellowstone.  This is a very bad idea.
