Both his solo studio albums in the 80s were brilliant and sounded very different to eachother. "Mercy" being very laid back with some haunting pop tones, and then "Fire & Gasoline" being completely no-nonsense raw hard rock. :thumbup:

It's only with hindsight that we realize McLAREN's vision, expressed as THE SEX PISTOLS, was pretty much his baby and remarkable for the fact that THE SEX PISTOLS were as contrived as THE MONKEES. I like Lydon, agree to disagree. Don't misunderstand me, I think I liked PIL better than SEX PISTOLS, but it was McLAREN's orchestrations (all from that early '80s era) that I enjoyed most.
