This was filmed in the Great Depression. Most of the folks watching this were broke as a joke. That's why gangster movies were a big thing back then, I reckon they day-dreamed of robbing banks. Horror movies were scary escapism. and Musical's were airhead escapism. And this one is so cool! It's Busby Berkley!
