A few years ago, there was an article in a local magazine from a ex- Royal Airforce tailgunner who said that his aeroplane was the one that shot Glenn Miller's aeroplane down.  :buggedout:

Another thing that I didn't know ~ until March 18, 2010, that is ~ was that Uwe Boll was capable of making a good film. March 18 was when I saw Darfur for the first time: it is still haunting me.  :buggedout:

I didn't know they fixed the Lance Henriksen shot in Aliens (1986), when he holds on to Newt. Gone is Henriksens real body bit sticking out the hole, laminated with (more) synthetic entrails. The movie looks absolutely gorgeous on Blu-ray btw.

Okay. Now I want to see Aliens in Hi-Def.

I didn't know until just recently how gorgeous I am.

How do I know this? My wife works at a private school where there is a daycare center on site for the kids of the employees. At least twice a week I here her talk about how often the girls at the daycare and many teachers and other staff are constantly raving about what a gorgeous baby my 7-month-old son is. Then, these same people talk about how much he looks like his father.

baby is gorgeous + baby looks just like his father + I am his father = I am gorgeous.   :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle:

My wife always jokes about it saying "are these women trying to tell me that my husband is hot? What the hell?"

THERE IS NOTHING I DON'T KNOW.  :hot:

Except how to spell. Or stay sober. Or act like a human being instead of a drooling idiot around big breasted women.(I really have this bad habit of just turning into a stuttering moron around big breasted women.) Or knowing when to keep my mouth shut when my boss tells me to do something-(my response last time was F@ck You! Not very original-or smart.) But seriously folks....
I dint know that Clyde Parker didnt have erictle disfunction or homosexual tendencies (a myth the movie worked on) untill I read a very documented book on the subject. ( About Bonnie and Clyde-not homosexual tendencies.)
I still cant get the hang of video games. Dont know how to do them.
I had no clue that Dennis Hopper died untill about a week ago. Or that Beverly Garland died.  :bluesad:

" "I like the little guy.He can play good."-He says. Dang. From a guy who's record collection back in the 70's consited of Elvis,Neil Diamond,Waylon Jennings,Porter Wagner, and Johnny Paycheck. ( I think about it...mebbe not so weird.) He's 73 years young! From the man who never missed an episode of HEE HAW or GREEN VALLY JAMBOREE-with Rem Walt-look it up-! in his life! My whole perception of him changed! Does he like fat girls in tiny nighties too? And Kid Colt Outlaw comics? And Bela Lugosi movies? Im shocked.  :buggedout:

Been there RCMerchant.  I can remember forgetting that a dollar equaled 100 cents when giving change one time.

I didn't know that Dino de Laurentis died this year.  I, also, didn't know that a whirring sound from a DVD motor was a bad thing.

I didn't know there was a difference between tube socks and crew socks until today when my mom asked me to get tube socks for my brother, I couldn't find anything except crew socks and just assumed that "tube socks" was an oldster's way of describing normal socks which all the hip people now call crew socks.

Somebody here did a poll once asking if people like Miracle Whip of mayonnaise better.  I assumed that meant they were two different things. They do taste different - Miracle Whip has that "zing" to it, while mayo is bland.

Am I just completely confused again?  Maybe I should go back to bed.

From Wikipedia...
Quote
Miracle Whip is a salad dressing and sandwich spread manufactured by Kraft Foods. It is often used as an alternative to mayonnaise in recipes, although it is sweeter and has additional condiments.
I dunno man, if its near the mayo at the supermarket I'm going to call it "mayo".

I didn't know this until I found out a few months back,
but I have some sad news to report:

Japanese child star Mitsunobu Kaneko, aka "Johnny Sokko" was hit and killed by a truck in 1997, shortly after winning some sort of award for the show that made him famous, Jonny Sokko And His Flying Robot.

Alas, my life is one less light brighter than it used to be.  Not sure, but he may have been related to Toho director Shusuke Kaneko and actor Iku Kaneko.

As a fan of the show, I myself am deeply saddened, and so are many of both sides of the Big Pond, I imagine.  :bluesad:

I didn't know until a few years back that there was actually thirteen (yes, 13) "Alice In Wonderland" books.  I knew the movie was based on a book (with lots of details changed) but didn't know there were twelves more stories.

Also, did you know Mark Twain did two more books with Tom Sawyer?  Tom Sawyer Abroad (1894), and Tom Sawyer, Detective.  Guessing neither of these two did so great.

I didn't know Goro Mutsumi aka Alien Leader Kuronuma (top middle) and Shin Kishida aka Interpol Agent Nanbara (right) from Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla 1974 was in something called the Scientific Attack Force (SAF) from Magma Man (TV Series 1973) Japan.

I'm also 99% sure the man to the left is in Terror of Mechagodzilla. The Alien Henchman that says "dont try to escape earthling or you will force me to kill you".

Chickens lose the yellow coloring in their beaks and legs as they lay eggs. The better layer the chicken is, the whiter the beak. The yellow returns when they molt.

I guess the yellow goes into making yolks.

I didn't know there was such a big difference between country fried steak and chicken fried steak. Adding to the confusion, apparently a chicken fried steak can be made of beef.
Country fried (chicken) steak origins stem from Austria's wiener schnitzel.
so, frozen country fried steak (Tyson) may resemble a typical schnitzel, but it is nothing like a typical country fried steak even though its origins are from a schnitzel.

However, the main culprit lies apparently in the breading: a country fried steak is sort of flaky, a schnitzel is not.

In other words, Tyson's frozen country fried steak is technically everything a country fried steak should be, but its not.

I learned this the hard way  :bluesad:

Funny you should mention It Came From Outer Space: it was the movie that featured the opening theme song for WNEW 5's Creature Features, called "Visitors From Space."  Dick Jacobs And His Orchestra remade the song in 1958 and added a theremin and some weird combos of brass, drums and other instruments. It's way better than the one in the movie!

If you lived in the Tri-State area as a kid, you never forgot the Creature Features themesong, that's for sure, nor did you forget that creepy distorted monster face that glowed on and off as the music played! Some say it was a picture of Glenn Strange's Frankenstein Monster.
