What's that black & white pattern that some women like to get on their blouses & skirts....
It looks kinda like the PLO scarf...

Do you mean the houndstooth pattern?

LilCerberus

^Yeah, that's the one! I know houndstooth has been around for decades, but the new PLO scarves are starting to look like that.^

Tonight's Stinker
Night of the Shadow People (2016?-17?)

Looks to be another shot on video senior thesis...
In the future, people live in dome cities, & outside the city live hooded monsters who eat souls, and the rest of the plot quickly gets all ADHD, laying on too many subgenres...
Half the time, I can't understand what the cast is saying, & lines are delivered without emotion... One of the characters is a robot that looks like air conditioner parts, another, a wizard with a goofy cape, and all the bad guy's henchmen wear those squid game masks...

Thinking about it, This film keeps feeling like it's made up of those monthly short film challenges, where they give you a prompt, a prop, a character name & occupation, & a line of dialog to work with...

Tonight's stinker
Warriors of the Apocalypse (1985)
A spaghetti road warrior rip-off, it starts a a bunch of guys walking around a beach that's supposed to be a dessert, then through a quarry that's supposed to be a dessert, where they duke it out with a rival gang, then meet a guy with fresh food who promises to take them to the green mountain.....
Next, they're on a safari, where they run into the usual safari clichés.....
Pretty painful to sit through...

Something I really don't get about antique gun dealers, is how they really try to avoid giving a clear look at the cylinder on a Colt Cloverleaf....
I mean, the whole point of the Colt Cloverleaf, is knowing if it's a traditional five shot, or if it's one of the more quirky looking four chambered cylinders.....

Tonight's Stinker
It Came from Hollywood (1982)
An amusing compilation of highlights from some of the silliest stinkers ever to hit the big screen, with several comedians dujour "riffing" on the films being shown before it was a thing....
In essence, two hours of commercials with commentary....
Gave me a few ideas for future stinkers of the weekend (kinda surprised how many of these I've already seen).....

I just realized that the four movies I have watched in the past starring Ryan Gosling all suck major balls. I like the guy but man those scripts are a disaster.

So, a couple years ago, When I first came down with sciatica, I got steroid injections in my 5th lumbar the first two times, & Cortisone shots in my left hip....
The last time I went in for injections, they were in my 4th & 5th lumbar.......
Today's injection was in my 3rd lumbar...
3 down, two to go????
I dunno....

I see Russian media is increasing its references in official channels to taking back Alaska.

Tonight's Stinker
The Slime People (1963)
A small group of survivors tries to avoid the creatures while looking for a way to destroy a resin wall that's been put up around the city.... Pretty slow paced....
The subterranean fishmen look impressive, but are introduced at the beginning of the movie, blowing any chance for a big reveal, and the constant sound of someone having digestive issues gets pretty grating after a while....
And I have to say, a couple of the characters are pretty annoying.....

Furiosa prequel coming soon.....

Frankly, I'd like to see a Mad Max sequel that goes back to those blue & yellow cars.....
