So, what single movie prop would you love to get your filthy paws on?
I like posters, so my choice is the huge sideshow poster advertising "ERIK THE APE" in Robert Florey's MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE (1932).
Or maybe one of the Martian fighting machine models from George Pal's THE WAR OF THE WORLDS (1953).
Or Lon Chaney's beaver hat from LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT (1925).
Van Helsing's crossbow would be cool to have.

Does Julie K. Smith count as a movie prop...or two? :teddyr:
If they're attached = 1
Unattached = 2
:twirl:
::: the Tesla coil used in Universal's Frankenstein.
::: the teddy bear from The Pit.
::: the Nekronomicon from Evil Dead.
::: the flying guillotine from Legend of the Flying Guillotine.
::: a mugwump from Naked Lunch.
The head-spider from The Thing (Carpenter version).
The Godzilla suit from either GMK or G vs. Megaguirus.
Any stop motion model from a Harryhausen flick - top choice: the cyclops from The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, since the Ymir doesn't exist anymore.
A Star Destroyer model from the original SW trilogy.
Princess Leia's slave girl outfit from ROTJ, so I can get my wife to wear it. :teddyr:
The puzzle box from Hellraiser.
A Nazgul costume from LOTR.
Wolverine's claws. Especially great for the job where you have to deal with the a***oles (customers, co-workers, and supervisors).
Johnny 5 robot from Short Circuit. hey, I'm lazy. I need something to clean my apartment.
Talon's triple-bladed, spring-loaded sword from THE SWORD AND THE SORCERER!!
I'm not greedy, I'll take this 1930's Duesenberg Convertible Coupe from the 1938 "Merrily We Live" it was sort of a predecessor of "My Man Godfrey" (Tramp turned Butler, but was really rich and famous. both great movie BTW)
[youtube=425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Luv5nA9BEGM
But since it is likely long gone ... let see ...
I agree with Shadow and of Harryhausen models would be great.
MARIA robot costume from Fritz Lang's Metropolis (Long gone too)
Charlie Chaplin's hat and cane.
Anything from Groucho Marx movies.
The Capitan American chopper from Easy Rider
oh there are so many if I had the space and the money I've have a bunch of of them. (But I have no idea why.)
I've always wanted to own Hardy Kruger's crossbow from "The Wild Geese" ~ I was eleven when I saw that film and the way that he shot with it always impressed me.
I've got another one.
It's something I've wanted since I was a boy.
The Glaive!
(http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/7376/bladeff0.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Freddy Krueger's original glove from Nightmare on Elm Street would be pretty neat to own too.
(http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/2079/5cautoimages5cru2446lggj3.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)
The swords from The Sword and the Sorcerer and Hawk The Slayer.
The supercharged interceptor from Mad Max "She sips nitro... with Phase 4 heads! 600 horsepower through the wheels! She's meanness set to music and the b***h is born to run!"
Lightsaber -- provided it's a real one.
My list:
Bogart's fedora & trench coat from Casablanca.
The Maltese Falcon.
The time portal map from Time Bandits.
One of the papier-mache tomatoes from Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, or maybe the sheet music to "Puberty Love" so I could find out what the heck they're singing.
The Batmobile or Batcycle from the Adam West/Burt Ward Batman, or maybe Catwoman :teddyr:.
I do own a Paul Chen replica of Zatoichi's sword; it's the only "real" sword I own (i.e., one that can actually hold an edge).
Some good pieces have already been mentioned. I have a few more that come to mind.
The Auryn from "The Neverending Story"
The model of Nell, the main ship from "Battle Beyond the Stars"
One of the Ghidrah suits. I want to put it in one corner of the living room.
Some of the maser tanks and such from the Godzilla movies (or the flying battleships from "Final Wars" or "War in Space") would be cool.
One of the devil starfish from "Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare"
A pulse rifle from "Aliens" or one of the model dropships
The arcade game from "The Last Starfighter"
QuoteOne of the papier-mache tomatoes from Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, or maybe the sheet music to "Puberty Love" so I could find out what the heck they're singing.
Puberty, puberty love
there's nothing like puberty love
It's so neat, it's so cool
weekends and holidays and after school
love is, what we feel
old folks say it's not for real
but we're ready, we're going steady
sharing gum is such fun... (it cuts off)
Either the Gill Man costume or one of those piranhas-on-a-stick from the Dante film.
Hey Andrew,
About that pulse rifle...
Check out this site that's totally devoted to the M41A pulse rifle.

It contains a wealth of information on how to build your very own gun.

Your'e starting to scare me,Ash.....! :buggedout: Yikes!
I would love to have Lugosi's cape and Dracula ring...but FJA has one of his capes and a ring, and I believe Chris Lee has another ring like it...I know you can get replica rings...but the real deal would be super groovy!
Of course, being such a runt, the cape would be way to big.

Bela Lugosi was

I like to build things, but no longer have very much time to do so (kids, work, website). If anything, I would get a high quality replica just as a cool wall decoration. Unfortunately, those are fairly expensive. Still, a very cool site there.

Bela has
the first cape :teddyr: ...on a more somber note, there is a shot of Bela in state in
Hollywood Babylon looking very much "the Count".

Thanks! Can I ask where you found these, or was it as simple as a Google search?
My wants are modest, a crew baseball hat from the Nostromo, one of the rifles used in either Aliens or Starship Troopers, provided that its real and does in fact hold several hundred rounds of ammunition just like the movie version, and last of all, one of the Landmaster all terrain vehicles from Damnation Alley, provided I could get Shell or Mobil to pick up the bill for gas.

I just studied the movie closely. It helps that there's a sing-along/kareoke thing on the special edition DVD.

A Landmaster would be awesome. They pop up from time to time in other bad movies. "A.P.E.X." and "Hybrid" jump to mind, but there are others. Heck, I would love to have a scale model of a Landmaster. Tell me that wouldn't be fun to have on your desk.
I saw one of the 2 from the movie on a local PBS station program, the guy who owns it got in and drove it around, didn't let them show the interior, but from the outside it looked great, and I would absolutely love a model for my desk at work.

A few years back they made a model of it, I think it was Monsters in Motion who had it, however a search turned up nothing, no models. It was a limited run and it wasn't cheap if I recall correctly. But you never know one might turn up on eBay at some point.
I just tried ebay, lots of posters, pictures, lobby cards, and some video tapes, but no models. Oh well, I'll try again later.
I'll take just about any tank, plane or weapon used in any war film. Oh yeah and Magnum PI's car.

If y'all talking about cars then here's mine:
The Batmobile from the first two Batman movie
The General Lee (how messed up that would be to have a black man driving that car?)
And The Blue Thunder Helicopter.
Hmm, any movie prop...?
I would very much like Steffan, Martin Short's toy dinosaur from the movie Clifford.

Put it on a wall in your room. So if you have a nightmare and suddenly wake up, you'll have that there.
The flying saucer model from PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE (1959) would be groovy! I would hang it from the ceiling in my TV room! :teddyr:
You can buy one from ebay! (not the original, of course!)

I was actually thinking about having one on the ceiling above my bed.
Not sure the wife would go for that though.
I'd love some of those masks from the party in Eyes Wide Shut.
If your face matches your personality i'm sure most peolle would he happy if you wore a mask.
Sven would like something that would make him popular. My gosh.... is there a prop that big?
The spiked mask from BLACK SUNDAY (1960).

I've been delving in the forbidden secrets of (thread) necromancy.
Or I was searching for a different thread and this one came up on my results. Never did manage to find the one I was looking for and now I have forgotten what it was I was looking for in the first place.
