Title: The Adventures of Zombie Turtle Boy
Post by: BTM on October 11, 2007, 04:43:32 PM
One of the craziest things about the internet is just how it can turn the most random, inane thing into a cult phenomenon, Take for example, this clip from a local fair in Ohio.

I love that line, "Alright, you're a great... zombie!"

So, normally, when a kid goes to a local fair, gets pulled aside for an interview and says something totally inane and it gets aired, the clip is pretty much forgotten. But NOT today! Today we have people who upload stuff like this on youtube. So what happened then is someone starting doing REMIXS of the video. One has the kid spliced into footage from an interview with Bill O'Reilly, several others put it to MUSIC, there's also another one where the kid's mantra and image is put into a clip from The Shining.

So, what was the real deal with this fellow? Well the clip and its young undead star have become SO popular, the news media actually tracked him down to his home and did a second interview. Turns out the kid was didn't know what to say and, having seen a turtle exhibit at the fair shortly after getting his face painted, he decided to talk about that.

You can see the follow up video here...

So, you can see he's a normal kid caught off guard by the media. It's really a funny story.  Just hope fame doesn't go to his head or end up hurting him (like that poor Star Wars kid...)

Oh, and I like turtles too.

:)

What really made the video funny for me was the reporter not knowing what to say in response.
