Title: Oh, god ... rabid cat on the porch.
Post by: akiratubo on May 21, 2009, 06:01:10 PM
We call him black kitty, he's a stray we give a bowl of food every day.  Today, he came up to get his food and ... all I can say by way of description is that he's become a zombie cat.  Half the skin on his face and neck is rotted away.  Muscle and bone was visible.  He looked deranged.

I should have just shot him but I figured I ought to call Mom first (her house).  He ran away in the time it took to go get my phone.  If he comes back, I'm putting him out of his misery.

Did he look anything like this?

If a mutant cat's not actually coming out of another cat's mouth, I generally leave it alone, but that's just me.

Actually, he looked worse.  That's no joke.

He hasn't been back and there are crows fighting over something out in the woods, so I hope he's already out of his misery.

Eh... I think rabid is an understatement, It sounds more like a soon to be dead cat, or an undead cat. If the latters tha case I'd keep the shotgun close. If theres an undead outbreak all I gotta say is Goodluck!

Oh, my god!  He's back!   :buggedout:  The hole in his neck is even bigger!  I don't see how he can possibly be alive.

He's acting happy and energetic, though.  In fact, he's livelier than the last time I saw him.  So I just gave him some food.   I won't shoot him if he seems to be ok.

Nah.  Pretty sure he just got bit on the neck by something that caused necrosis, and he scratched all the skin off and made the hole bigger.  He hasn't been back.

I think it's time to start a whole new novel, dude.  The Universe is b***h slapping you with the inspiration.
