Title: Asylum's Princess of Mars Post by: Jim H on December 29, 2009, 06:38:26 PM It's an Asylum release, and is obviously a cash-in because they're actually going into pre-production for a big budget version of Burrough's quite fun first Barsoomian novel featuring John Carter.

That's a bonus, I guess. The film looks like they actually have a decent amount of stuff from the books, though toned down a lot (the green martians, the people who've captured John Carter in the trailer, are like 12 feet tall and have four arms in the novels). Still though, while a bad trailer, it shows some potential. But it IS an Asylum release, so it goes into bad movies! Anyone seen it yet? Title: Re: Asylum's Princess of Mars Post by: Jack on December 29, 2009, 10:39:52 PM I'll definitely pick it up when the used copies of the DVD's get down in the $5 range. The trailer looks kind of good, and I generally enjoy Asylum movies - their last couple of efforts notwithstanding.
