Hey, it's a movie similar "Brain Damage", this kid is shy and a snake or something grows out of his head or neck, don't remember exactly, and makes him do things, like gives him courage and stuff like that.
I remember a scene where he is in a car, trying to hide that thing by putting on a hat, and that thing is flopping around in the hat.
I was more of a scifi comedy than horror.
Does it sound familiar for anyone?
Maybe "Dr. Alien?"

The Funny and sad thing is when I was searching for it on my own, I actually came across it here,

But since I did not remember any alien looking creatures like on the picture... I thought it was not it so I just continued on without reading the plot.
