Title: Paprika (2006)
Post by: InformationGeek on May 04, 2010, 07:59:18 AM
I finally got around to watching it and man, was it a mind trip.  A good freakin' mind trip, but a crazy one none the less.  The story was pretty well written and not as hard to follow as I thought it would be.  I had to use my brain for once to put together a lot of the events and I liked that.  The animination was great and really brought to life the world in which the events are happening and showed how insane a dream can really be.  This film also has to have the best soundtrack I have heard in a movie in a long time.  That song that plays during the dream parade is just awesome to listen to.  I know a lot of you have brought it up when I mentioned Perfect Blue and said it was great.  You were wrong though.  It was amazing.  For those who have seen it, your thoughts on the film?

I like Satoshi Kon's movies there always a mind trip. Though some scenes feel like he took them from his other movies like the part where the cop is jumping into different movies reminded me of Millennium Actress. Also a great film and must watch.
