Title: Howling II, Your Sister is a Werewolf...
Post by: JPickettIII on January 26, 2011, 01:12:38 PM
Good ladies and gentlemen,

I was watching the movie and now have a question.  I remember watching this move a long long time ago on HBO or Max and there was a scene were Reb Brown and the sister of the reporter doing the nasty nasty.  There was a part where they were against the wall getting wild.  The movie I have does not have this scene in it.  I am I remembering a different movie?

I will not cry if I don't have the correct movie with this scene.  I'm thinking that there might have been two versions of the movie.

Let me know.

Later,

John

I own the MGM DVD and said scene is included. What disc do you own?

It's in my version too - the Jimmy Smits werewolf catches the "scent" from the village square and does a mini-howl.  Niiice.   :drink:

I bought a VHS copy from Arc for .99 cents.  So it must be an edited version?

I do want the dvd though.

Thanks,

John

Never heard of Arc. But yeah, the 16x9 MGM DVD is the one to get if you like the movie.

From IMDb:

Quote
The original HBO/Thorn tape release is dark and unwatchable, as well as cut. The cable version is bright and clear and features European folk music over the formerly silent end credits, but cut. The Republic/Lumiere tape release is bright and clear, (almost too bright in some suspense scenes), and was the longest version in existence until the release of the MGM DVD, which is not only uncut and in widescreen, but is bright, clear, and watchable. The Republic/Lumiere tape bears the retitling "Howling II: Stirba, Werewolf b***h", while the DVD and the other VHS versions are still titled "Howling II: Your Sister is a Werewolf".

Thanks for the update.  ARC is a Thrift store that sells donated items.  Great store to get clothes and movies.  I have purchased a lot of badmoives there.  I saw on Amazon that they have ALL five Howling movies.  Might have to pick up.  Will watch to make sure that they are the right versions though.
