Seems like an appropriate clip. R.I.P.
RIP Columbo
You gave the world lots of great entertainment Peter, we sincerely thank you. RIP.
That's a shame.
I've been a watching a lot of '70s Columbo lately. Peter Falk's portrayal was a high-water mark for quality in an era of television that was otherwise filled with garbage (mostly).
"Oh, one more thing..."
I grew up watching Peter Falk. I will miss him.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bluesad:
Aw, that's too bad. I was just rewatching a bunch of old Columbo episodes not too long ago, for the first time since they were airing on A&E in the 90s. Greatest detective show ever, due in no small part to Falk's portrayal. It's so entertaining and satisfying to watch that shabby little man, so outwardly clumsy and absent-minded, totally manipulate and outsmart people who think themselves his superiors. Even the ones who see through the bumbling detective act manage to underestimate Columbo. One of the all-time great characters.
Very sad to see him go.
So sorry the read this. Columbo was a great character and like Andy said it was due almost entirely to Falk's performance.
Another role where he shined was as one of the cab drivers in IT'S A MAD MAD MAD MAD MAD MAD WORLD.
:bluesad: So sorry to hear this news. Of course I loved him as Columbo as did most. But he was also very, very good in several films too including ...All the Marbles (1981), Murder Inc., The Great Race, The Princess Bride and more. R.I.P.
RIP Columbo.
I love PETER FALK.

Good night, PETER. You will be missed.
What a bummer! One of the all time great character actors.
Oh, no! I haven't seen any Columbo stuff in a long time but I remember liking watching him when I was a kid. This is sad to hear, but it's better that he's passed than to continue suffering with Alzheimer's.
