They'd better hurry up. The U.K. in 2017 is going to vote whether they want to withdraw from the E.U., in which they are now a member. And right now, the vote is almost split in half: 40% want to remain in the Union, and 39% want to withdraw from the Union. (A lot of undecided.)  No word as to whether the Netherlands is going to have its own vote as to whether stay in or get out of the Union.

My Mom is of Dutch descent born in South Africa and my Dad is of British descent - his father was born in Cornwall. I was born in what was then Rhodesia so African I am by name and by nature: I have no home to go back to - my home is here.  :smile:

Don't worry about ethnic cleansing in South Africa, Trevor. The question is, are they ever going to institute a policy of mandatory underpants cleansing?

I'm just trying to imagine the cascade that would result form this.

So the whites get shipped back to some country where some ancestor came form.  The racists in the USA see this happening and start shipping the blacks back to Africa, the Indians see this and realize it's a great idea and start shipping the whites back to Europe.  The Australian aborigines start shipping all of their whites back.

Europe would become over crowded very quickly.

How far back does it go?  Because if everybody is supposed to go back to where we all originated, wouldn't Africa and Asia be jam-packed and the rest of the world empty?  They'd have to pick a date, or would the rule be 'first-in' gets exclusive rights to the territory? 

It would have to be whoever gets in first gets to keep it. Like who would kick the Aztecs out of Mexico?  What I really want to know is what do they do with everyone who is mixed? Is there going to be a percentage when you are allowed to stay?

This whole thing is just a bad idea and is way too complicated.

Often the original inhabitants are simply not there anymore. Maori from New Zealand (having a such rich island) essentially wiped out other ethnicities in the area (since they got too small islands to develop warfare).
Of course when Dutch arrived with rifles the Maori discovered their warfare was beyond the times, but meanwhile they already takeon everything in the zone..

The world is too dynamic to make this stuff meaningful.  I simply wonder why humans try to make me a misanthrope pretty much all the time.

Seems the DNA labs would be doing a lot of business.  It's an ill wind that blows nobody some good.

I think "white" seems to be the troubling term in this story.  Apparently some white people want to escape South Africa.  Stories of racism carry a lot of sway in the USA, so we have read of terrible crimes.  Unfortunately, violence and terrible crimes are a deep part of humanity and are everywhere.
