I wouldn't call that shocking so much as it was heart breaking.
I think the show was
Las Vegas, but one of the main characters, played by Laura Flyn Boyle, gets caught up in a wind storm and flies off the top of a building. Shocking and one of the weirdest ways to kill off one of the main leads.
