Title: 50 greatest films never made
Post by: mr Raffles on June 12, 2001, 07:56:55 AM
this is a cool book I recently read.  it has stuff about how different people have tried to make Betty Page's life story, Hollywood politics, an awesome one about a mob boss who is a soft serve ice cream cone.  It's a bunch of little stories like that.

Yes, there are alot of wonder films out there that never got started, completed, or released. And here are some more. "Brave New World" by producer, Sam (King of the Epics) Bronstein -- "I,
Claudius" w/ Merle Oberon and Charles Laughton in the title role -- "The Man Who Would Be King" Not w/ Caine and Connery, but w/ Bogart and Gable -- "William Tell" w/ Errol Flynn in the title role -- "The White Company" from a story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, w/ Sir Alec Guinness, Lord Laurence Olivier, and John (The
Duke) Wayne, and directed by John Ford. And if either John Ford or Cecil B. DeMille had lived a little longer, their next picture would have been a biopic of Lord Baden Powell, the founder of the Bpy Scouts. And "Return of the White Worm," the sequel to "Lair of the White Worm." Time: shortly after the original. Place: the London underground and Buckingham Palace. This one does "Chatterbox" one better. Not only can "It" talk, but "It" has fangs. So watch what you stick in "It." Enjoy
