Which movie deserves less to be remade and why?

God, this is such a tough question.  But I'd have to go with TCM.  People regard this as a classic horror movie.  As such, it simply shouldn't be messed with.  Just look at what they did with the sequels.

As much love as I have for the Punisher movie, a lot of people hated the movie for various reasons (the casting of Dolph, no uniform, etc.).  I've said it endlessly before, and I'll say it again, it's my favorite comic book movie.  So maybe the new movie will cater more towards the comic book.  I'd have to admit, if they did the action scenes in a John Woo fashion, I'd definitely give the new movie a chance.  I'll definitely end up seeing it, because it'll be interesting to see Thomas Jane as the Punisher, and Travolta (!) as the main villain.  Travolta's usually good at playing villainous characters, IMO.  Just look at Broken Arrow and Face/Off.  Nice and over-the-top in both of those.

I personally wouldn't remake either of them, but I'd have to say they shouldn't even think about trying to remake TCM.  I can see the filmmakers adding copious amounts of gore to the new movie, a new and hip soundtrack (featuring songs by P.O.D., Saliva, Eminem, you get my point), and other things that I don't even want to think about.

i'd say 'punisher'.  'tcm' has had the poor sequels (ones after part 2) and still remains a great story, it can take another hollywood blow.  'punisher' has got nothing; granted anything they make will be better than the dolph version, but who really cares?  it'll end up another slick superhero movie with lame and tedious special effects and hardass one liners.

PUNISHER. The Dolph Lundgren version was okay, but Dolph is such a boring actor that the movie deserves a remake.
