Title: OT: More news on the squirrel terrorism front
Post by: trekgeezer on February 03, 2006, 03:43:44 PM
The little bastards have found a way to come back from the dead and are attempting to get unwitting humans like this (http://www.squirrelman7.com/) to help them.

Now the squirrels are freezing and launching themselves at us:
"f you go down to the woods today, watch out for falling squirrels - particularly if you're taking the car.

While the idea of a frozen squirrel falling from the sky on to the passenger seat probably isn't one that has crossed your mind, research by Norwich Union suggests it's not beyond the realms of possibility.

The unlikely story of a frozen squirrel dropping from a tree and breaking the windscreen topped the list of unusual car insurance claims published today by the insurer. Quite why and how it became frozen is unclear, as is the cost of fixing the damage caused."

Next they'll be getting on planes... storing nuts in the overhead compartments... hiding in those carts the stewardesses use to bring you those flat, dry sandwiches they warp in the thick plastic... Where will it end?

I'm laying in a stock of nuts to be used to bribe my family's way to safety.  And Bagels.  And coffee...

And speaking of not being ruled by squirrels, have you looked at your government lately?  Could the squirelly overlords (Foamy Rules!) do worse.

I doubt it. Though maybe the vice president squirrel will be more careful on his quail hunts...

We have a squirrel that's been sleeping in our front yard for nearly a month now.  The snow and ice storms don't seem to bother him.  He just keeps on sleeping.  I hope he wakes up soon, cause he needs to take a bath.  He smells nasty.

That is one sleepy squirrel....
