Oh no!  Not more to add to your collection!  You best get that shelf in the basement and bring it up.

No Maciste titles? It should have at least the Gengis Khan entry and that other one where he kicks demonic arse in the centre of the Earth.

Loyal:

Luckily, these 50 movie packs are pretty compact - - they only take up as much shelf space as about 3 regular sized DVDs.  Whew!  I wouldn't want to have to live without 50 dubbed strong man movies!

Sadly, no Ator.

Ah, but the provolone is thick and good!
"Macheestake?"
I loved what Best Brains did with sword and sandles flicks. May the Gorgonzola flow forever!

Now...what pizza goes best with a selection like this?

Well, whatever pizza you choose, make sure it has extra cheese . . .

I just happened upon a DVD of "Ator" on Amazon the other night.  Ordered it and a couple of awful post-apocalypse films right away.  "Warrior of the Lost World" and "Bronx Executioner" jumped right out at me, along with "Robot Jox."  How did I miss them hitting the street?

Andrew:

I missed them too.  But I did recently pick up the "Post Apocalyptic Triple Feature" boxed set with 2019: AFTER THE FALL OF NEW YORK, 1990: THE BRONX WARRIORS and THE NEW BARBARIANS.  A dubbed extravaganza!

Recently saw "2019 - After the fall of New York" myself, and I was quite impressed. The (few) FX were lots of fun, and there was lots of weird stuff going on with that gorilla-man. My favourite bits were those with that mutant saxophonist playing against the deteriorated NY skyline.

I imagine it would be tough being a musician after the apocolypse... if you accidentally break one little piece of your equipment, you might not be able to ever get it fixed again...

While I have only see two of the films: "Damon and Pythias" and "Hercules Unchained," the pack looks like a winner. I would add, that--unfortunately--they don't seem to make films like that anymore, and I think the film world is poorer because of it.

So:

1-Which is the better Hercules: the old B-Movies one, or Disney's one?

2-Which is the better Achilles: the old B-movie one, or Brad Pitt's "Troy" one?

This sounds like an awesome collection Burgomaster. Many I've already picked up though. Wouldn't it be neat if they came out with a 50 Spaghetti Western Collection?

Scott:

They do have a 50 GUNSLINGER CLASSICS collection, but it isn't just spaghetti westerns.  They also have a 50 WESTERN CLASSICS colection, which I think contains a lot of old Roy Rogers and Gene Autry type westerns.

Am I the only one here starting to get strange vibes about a bunch of guys discussing too many Italian musclemen?

Can anybody say "Brokeback Olympus"?

This thread has somewhat taken an odd and strange turn.  Yet not totally unexpected when you consider the topic in question largely revolves around oiled-up musclemen from Ancient Greece and whatnot.

I'm actually surprised it took you all so long to get there!

In the meantime, here's a little something to ponder, just a pic and a quote from one of these 'fine' movies on the list:

Tamar
"But how long is it since you decided to act in this manor?"

Yamad
"Ever since I realized that the rule of women was the most frightful and horrible form of government."

So true, Yamad, so very true: what a frightful world it would be.  Yet another reason I don't watch Commander in Chief [though perhaps I should if Geena Davis as President is anywhere near as nutty as the leadership in this film from what I've read...]

But, when it meets all those other echos, then it s ALL gets confusing....even to the point that some people think Paul Rubins is Sparticus.
