Title: Favorite "Lessons Learned"
Post by: Andrew on May 25, 2006, 10:32:38 PM
Hey all, I am actually going to set up for a new run of t-shirts from CafePress.  I am wondering if anyone has any favorite lessons.  Right now I am looking at being able to put 6 to 8 on the back of a shirt.

I would like to keep these from the original design:

If it looks like a man-eating plant, then it probably is a man-eating plant.

Fruit bats are, strangely enough, carnivorous.

Dinosaur is Latin for "stuff glued on lizard."

I am looking through the reviews right now, seeing if any jump out at me.

These did:

Every ranch should keep emergency supplies, such as a medical kit and machinegun.

The problem with being human is that every other race in the universe either finds your flesh tasty or needs your brain fluid to survive.

Slumber parties are a common social activity for thirty year-old women.

Corrugated tin is bulletproof.

The Rapture is when God descends from Heaven in his white Rolls Royce to whisk away all the hippies to a new planet.

Special effects need not be special.

Andrew,

The problem with being human is that every other race in the universe either finds your flesh tasty or needs your brain fluid to survive.

Slumber parties are a common social activity for thirty year-old women.

Both of those would be quite a welcome addition to the shirt.  I'm glad to see you are keeping the Dinosaur one.  I contstantly get comments about that on my shirt.

Boy Andrew, I'd have to go with what you got. I did some cruising around the reviews and there are so many good ones, you probably can't go wrong with any thing you choose.

Excuse me now while my head explodes.

Only one that might be a problem is God and the hippies. Boy would you have to explain that one to everyone you met. I'm afraid some Christian's would find that offensive if they hadn't seen the movie. Also love the human problem one.

I always wanted to add this one:

There's nothing irritating than trying to realize a director's vision.

Please think twice about losing the one about "sweat soaked shirts make excellent torches", as I've had strangers point and laugh at that one --
DEFINITELY add the one about human flesh being tasty to aliens/brain fluids!!  That one could almost be a shirt unto itself --

My favourites from the 'A' titled 'B' movies....

Aliens with bird like ships should stay well clear of Earth during duck season.

Some girls look better when they're not facing you.

One of my favorites is: People often fall to their deaths.

Don't remember the movie but it always brings a smile to my face.

The movies seem to get worse, but the Lessons Learned get better.
