Title: Server Memory Load Post by: Andrew on November 14, 2006, 10:46:26 PM I am watching the server. She is running at about 75% memory, which is higher than I like. This could be due to the new message board. It could also be due to the fact that a number of search engines have found the new directory for the board. At one point today we had about 20 spambots trying to register and post and about 40 or 50 connections from search engines indexing the site. The Yahoo one was really aggressive, it was probably half of those search engine connections by itself.
In any case, high memory load can cause issues. I will get with the host and may need to pay for more memory to be installed. That should be completely transparent to everyone when it happens. |
