WHAT TerrorVision is not in print!!!
This is a goddamn outrage, If this film were available on DVD the world would be a better place.

I loved this movie, and picked it up at a sale at the local video store. If you can get past the cheesy monster and idiotic boyfriend you'll love it. Check it out.

Hang on, isn't this a rip-off of "The Thing"?

Doesn't Pluthar look a little like Freddy Kreuger?

I am proud to say that I own the soundtrack to this fine piece of monster cinema (cough*hack*cough), so I can kick back enjoy all the fine songs and Richard Band's irritating plinking on the keyboard anytime I feel like it.  It even contains Immortal Dialogue to boot, the classic conversation between Pluthar and the kids about cloning mommy and daddy is on it as well. Hehehehehe.

Some of the actors (i.e. those playing Mom and Dad Putterman) expressed dismay at being roped into this movie, but what the hell.  Forget 'em if they can't take a joke.  And that is exactly what this movie is, a great big joke.

One that always makes me smile and shake my head in bemused joy.  Definite rainy Saturday afternoon material here.  Nothing classic, but a whole lot of fun nonetheless.

The movie was very good, but did all the main character;s have to die? That puke-eating like mucus system, ooz pulsing, parasite for thought. That puss ,liquid, flood slerping creature. it was a very cool movie in my opinion.

I love this movie!!!!! It has a s**tload of unusual characters consisting of a pill poppin commando wannabe kid with A.D.D. taking every subscribable drug in the book, his Big neon multi-colored haired sister (who i happened to think was pretty cute), their swingin parents who decorate the house with erotic art (including a statue fountain in the main lobby of the house with water coming out the nipples, the crazy survivalist grandpa who eats lizard tails (home grown by the way) and lives in a bomb shelter, a cartoonish blob for a monster, and the ultimate O.D. played by none other than Jon Gries (the werewolf/vamp fro Fright Night 2) with his stereotypical metal head wardrobe and surfer accent. We also got a great soundtrack including the kickass theme song which you don't usually get in low budget horror movies with the eceptions of a selected few . Great Lighting, Good acting, Nice setting, lotsa dark and gross humor, and lotsa moving around.  This remains wanna my altime favorites and must be seen to be appriciated. I think I'm gonna go watch it again...

TerrorVision has been my favorite movie for about 2 years now, and each time I see it, I notice more.  What nobody has commented on yet is an obvious cross-over mistake by Chary.  When Mr. Putterman goes to check on Norm, Shary says "Oh will he be joining us?" and just then the camera shows Sherman out of bed and ready to swing.  However, I must admit that I am Happy to see so many people who like this movie.  We almost have a cult following in my town.  Love this movie and remember,"The best way to neutralize the enemy...Brain Shot."

I love this film, in fact the most amazing special effect is the fact that Medusa's wonderful bazookas stayed in her bra all the way through the film

Awww... what a wonderful peice of 80's movie-making Terrorvision was!  It had all the 80's stereotypes!

And the house makes the Frankensdtien catle on the RHPS seem... normal...

I dance by the light of the TV screen... ALL NIGHT LON!  I watch the Medusa's eyes turn green, but my own reflection I've never seen!

Ugh.  I was one of the fifteen people that actually paid money to see this in a theatre when it came out.  There's some potential here, mainly from Diane Franklin and Gerrit Graham as the parents, but the movie spends most of its time with the kid and Grandpa so it just never gets in gear.  It's not "good bad" or "funny bad", it's just "bad bad" because it's so dull.  The apocalyptic ending is the only brainwave-producing moment to be had, the rest is just a snooze-fest.

Oh my, what a classic this puppy is.  A DVD treatment is much-needed...but Charles Band's DVD imprint, Cult Video will likely either never release it or do NOTHING to enhance the transfer.  I'm crossing my fingers on that one.

Oh, and hey...am I the only one that thinks Mom is looking fine in this flick?  Damn, what a vixen.  Let's not forget Medusa either.  :)

Since when was Julio Iglesias a swinger anyway?  LOL

There is something about this movie that I just like!  I saw it one afternoon a few years ago on Sci Fi Channel and ended up buying a crappy used copy over the internet.  It would cost too much to return so I still have it.  Viewable...but...  Maybe a DVD will come out soon.  But it takes me back to when I used to stay up late watching horror movies as a child.  Anything with Graham in it is going to be good!  He does these things like nobody else.  Phantom of Paradise...  They should've gotten him for the shower scene in the Mystery Science Theater Movie!

I remember watching TerrorVision years ago on the Sci-Fi channel. Back then, I didn't give two craps about the flick, but it has been stuck in my mind ever since. That theme song, how can any human being forget it? Of course, I wouldn't call the movie "good", but it entertains on some basic, primal level. It's one of those "so-bad-it's-good" movies just like Commando and Tammy and the T-Rex. The gore flowed pretty good, considering it was an edited version. If I could rent TerrorVision or see it again, I'd definitely watch it. The only thing this B-movie is missing is a nude scene with Medusa and Cherry. Now that is something I'd love to see.

This was my first b-grade movie buy. Got it for $3 when I was 15 from the video store bargain bin.
I remember thinking that I could rent a video for $3 or buy one for $3.

Bad habits start early friends.

screen!

ok, since almost every review includes a comment about the music, I thought I'd mention the group (that's The Fibonaccis) who did the theme as well four other songs on the soundtrack (all of side one!)...they have a best of collection on cd that does feature the song "TerrorVision"...if you like that song, you might dig them, the review on Amazon compares they to Devo & Calexico, but I'd throw in Combustible Edison as well (the review on there give a much better description if yr interested)...they're pretty quirky & definitely not for everyone, but they do have used copies startin' at like $3.38...and for fellow obsessive fans of Mary Woronov & Robert Beltran, there's also an odd connection, as The Fibonaccis were featured on the soundtrack of the RB film Slam Dance...

An extremely underrated, super fun 80's B film. E-mail me if you're interested in a really nice VHS quality print on DVD-R and thanks for the memories.

I think this is the greatest b-movie of all time! Me and my friends have watched this sucker so many times, there are sooo many memorable quotes and scenes... The wierd thing is tho, is that I always thought this movie would have been better off WITHOUT the monster. The cast of characters is so goofy and off the wall, perfect material for a sitcom (as a matter of fact, the cast bears an uncanny resemplance to that tv show SOAP). They need to hurry up and release this movie on DVD, my VHS copy has seen better days (I got it new about 10 years ago, it's pretty wore out now.) I picked up an original huge subway size movie poster from the films theatrical release (unused and in perfect condition) on ebay, I can hardly wait to get a place with a wall large enough to display it..! If anyone wants a copy of the soundtrack on CD, contact me. I am open for trades.

I loved this crazy movie I saw it back in the late 80's and I am steal looking for the DVD.One of the funniest B movies from the 80's era.The scene where MEDUSA mistakes the good alien for the monster was priceless and the  theme song ruled.loved that MEDUSA chick she was the most beautiful thing I ever saw in a B movie snakes and all.

Does anyone know the name of that song at the end?  I cant get it out of my head and the only cure is to download and listen to it.  I know, the cure sounds worse than the disease but still...

Saw this one on Turner Classic Movies (!! Of all places!) a couple of years ago. I thought it was a hoot.

I especially liked the daughter's brain-dead headbanger boyfriend who wears a W.A.S.P. t-shirt for the entire movie. Blackie Lawless for the win!

I'm watching on TCM right now. Did nobody notice at the beginning, that the alien base where they "beam" out the monsters is an upside down plastic model of the USS Enterprise from the original Star Trek with the warp engines removed. I literally laughed out loud when I saw that.

That's the same actor that played Uncle Rico in NAPOLEON DYNAMITE
