Title: Gnarls Barkley does Star Wars
Post by: Scottie on November 26, 2006, 10:28:51 PM
This is way late but I really appreciated the accuracy of this performance. The band is Gnarls Barkley. If you listen to the radio or have been up on internet downloading you'll know who thee guys are or recognize the song. What is really impressive is the assortment of Star Wars characters on stage playing back up. It's from the MTV music thingy like back in June, but it's still cool. My favorite are the back up vocals dressed in x-wing pilot gear. Sorry if this is a double post.

Wow, just watched that piece. Charles Barkley can really sing.  I was really impressed with the whole song especially the vocals of Barkley. Perfect sound for a movie soundtrack.

The Star Wars theme was fun, but I was really impressed with the vocals.

Isn't Gnarls Barkley DJ Danger Mouse and Cee-lo?  I only very recently heard "Crazy".  I think I am the last person on earth that hadn't heard it yet.

Thought about picking up their (his) album, "Crazy" has even crossed over to MOR stations around here, the last rap or hip-hop song I can remember doing that was "Hey Ya!" by Outcast.

I also like that the two principals in Gnarls Barkley have themselves photographed together for interviews and profiles dressed as characters (usually rivals) from classic films. The Pink Panther and Inspector Clouseau, Alex and one of his Droogie from a Clockwork Orange, etc.
