Title: Updates - 1 January 2007
Post by: Andrew on January 01, 2007, 12:36:43 AM
At long last, "Hard Rock Zombies" is reviewed.  Somebody turn off the emails that I keep receiving, telling me to review the movie.

Also, B-Movie Central receives the Legion of Muck for January to March 2007.  If you haven't been by there lately, then you should give it a try.  One of the only reasons I am sad about the success of Rogue Cinema is that it keeps Duane so busy; he does not update B-Movie Central as often as in the past.

And, I added a number of avatars to the forum today.  The new category is "Badmovies Movies."  Dennis, when I can find my copy of "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah," I will make you an avatar or two of that scene (one a short gif animation).  I think my sister's family borrowed my DVD.  I need to go back to what I used to do: keep a notebook attached to the shelves so I can write down who borrowed what.

Congrats to my good buddy Duane on winning The Legion of Muck! It was his and your site that most inspired me. Nice to see him get some recognition for all his work.

I have yet to see Hard Rock Zombies, but after reading your review...I need to track this one down, if only to see that blonde chick and her high leg lifts.  :teddyr:

Andrew, I really want to thank you in advance for the avatar. Getting a list of who borrowed what is a good idea, I'm missing quite a few VHS tapes, have no clue who borrowed them, the one I miss the most is Deep Star Six, one of my favorites, occasionally at work I will imitate the imitators of the senior scientist, "A******s, do you have any idea how expensive that is" always gets a laugh when I screw something up.

Here is to hoping that a few more people discover B-Movie Central and have fun reading the reviews.  He certainly has been dedicated to the effort for a few years.  The site is also easy to navigate, which can be a pitfall for many.

"Hard Rock Zombies" is just about mandatory for people who are really into b-movies.  I am working on a Bad Movie Boot Camp piece, in fun, and one of the tasks is a terrible rock movie.  Thinking that giving the person a choice between "Hard Rock Zombies" and "Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare" is probably a good idea.  The idea behind the Boot Camp is 13 weeks of bad movies, giving the viewer a good basis in the "genre" (if you can call bad movies a genre).

HARD ROCK ZOMBIES was a different for sure. I remember a regular poster named Wence here use to say great things about this film, so I rented it and was amused by it. It's the type of film we tend to like here. Like the opening 80's movie feel.
