Title: I'm not dead...I think
Post by: Brother Ragnarok on January 19, 2007, 03:53:59 PM
Hey there.  I was recently contacted on Myspace by a couple of members from the board.  I've been busy as hell.  I have two kids now, Phoenix (2 as of today) and Isabella Olivia Dagon (3 1/2 months, and yes, that's on her birth certificate).  The record store I work at is closing in February.  After an usuccessful bid to take it over, I'm going to work at a local ethanol plant (so I'll have even less internet access than usual, as I don't have it at home and do all my brief internetting at work).
Apparently a few of you have been asking after me, so I just wanted to pop in and say hi.  I'll try to be more frequent, but many demands on my time keep me from doing much online.
I write for www.tombofanubis.com now, so you can keep up with me there.
I feel bad about having to drop out just as Andrew made me a moderator a few years back, but such is life.
Hope to see some of you at B-Fest this year.

Nice to see you back on the board.
What do you think of the new layout?

That sucks that you're going to be losing your job at the record store.
I remember you telling me how cool it was to work there.

Won't you be making more money if you start work at that ethanol plant?

Ah, zombie!

Truthfully, good to hear from you.  I had seen that you were over at the Tomb and also heard the word that you are buried in little ones too.  People do not know what free time is until it is gone, meaning after the first little one is born.  Andy's second birthday is coming up too, it is the 22nd of January.

I keep telling Katie that our third, if it is a boy, should be "Seth Orlando Borntreger" or "Brigham Young Orlando Borntreger."

Um, without details, PLEASE... Does "Orlando" have something to do with the acquisition of said baby?  I only ask because circumstances predicted ours (two weeks away) could legitimately be called "Orlando" too.  I only ask out of misplaced curiosity.

The two names are my ways of getting Katie's (and her family's) goat.  The initials would be:  SOB and BYOB.

Ok thanks, I missed that one...I picked Rose Bengal Diacetate Leber for mine (I work in chemicals).  Anna disagrees with that.   Can't see how, its pretty.   Like Chlamidiya is a nice name for a girl.

.......if you were, you'd be the first to know.

Congrats on the kids, love the names. Everyone in my family seems to be hatching little ones these days except me.

Thadeus Horatio Ulysses Grover, just a thought.

Glad to see a familiar name from the past turn up, however briefly. Hope to read more from you here.

Glad you had time to stop by Brother R. Sorry to hear you couldn't take over the record store, sounded like a good gig.

Take care of the family and drop in when you can.

The Brother stops by and says Hi.  Good to hear from one of the lost members.

Hope all goes well with the big move with work.

Also, on the topic of children's names, I couldn't help but laugh as a friend of mine was recently joking with her boyfriend that if they have a boy she wants to name it after the celebrity she was thinking of at the time of conception.  He very casually replied that that idea was ok, but if it was a girl she would be called Scarlett.

I went to school with a guy named:
John Thomas Purnell Hezikiah McArthur Pierce Junior.
We called him J.T. . . .
I still hear from him on occasion --

Dagon? Is it wise to name your daughter after an Elder God? I mean, what if she delevops webbed feet, or gills or so?

Maybe that's the plan?

Welcome back, Bro. With the government push to cut oil consumption by increasing the use of ethanol, it sounds like you'll be busy at that plant of yours. Stop by as often as you can.

Thanks for the kind words guys.  I'll do my best to be more frequent.
