Classic Warner Brothers, with my personal favorite character being Wile E. Coyote.

Tex Avery works for me as well.

Freakazoid will always be a favorite.
As will Animaniacs and Pinky & the Brain.

I enjoyed the first season or so of Ren & Stimpy, then not so much.
Same with The Simpsons.
And Cow & Chicken.
And Spongebob Squarepants (early episodes; haven't watched lately)

Cartoons I watched as a child and now can't believe I could have ever liked because they are just plain bad (by my adult standards):
Scooby Doo
The Justice League
ThunderCats
The Banana Splits
(okay, not really cartoons, but close enough)
Anything by the Hanna-Barbera studios

I've always watched cartoons and still do to this day. In fact, I'm more likely to watch a cartoon than a regular live-action prime-time series.

As a kid:

ASTROBOY.
THE MIGHTY HERCULES.
HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE.
SPIDER-MAN.
LOONEY TUNES.
THUNDERCATS.
G.I. JOE
TRANSFORMERS.
SUPER-FRIENDS.
SCOOBY DOO.
TEEN WOLF.
DROIDS.
EWOKS.

A bit older. (pre-teen-teen years)

THE CENTURIONS.
M.A.S.K.
THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS.
COPS.
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES.
CAPTAIN POWER AND THE SOLDIERS OF THE FUTURE.
INSPECTOR GADGET.
TEDDY RUXPIN.

(Late Teens - Now)

BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES
BATMAN BEYOND
JUSTICE LEAGUE/JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED
SPIDER-MAN (1990s)
X-MEN (1990s)
TINY TOON ADVENTURES
ANIMANIACS
PINKY & THE BRAIN
THE MAXX
THE TICK
THE SIMPSONS
FUTURAMA
BIG GUY AND RUSTY THE BOY ROBOT
INUYASHA
GUNDAM SEED
GHOST IN THE SHELL: STAND ALONE COMPLEX

Mighty Mouse
UnderDog
Pink Panther (The REAL one!!)
Rocky and Bullwinkle
The Flintstones
The Jetsons
The Huckleberry Hound Show

and the original re-ran Loony Toons, Merry Melodies, Tom and Jerry, Heckle and Jeckle, etc. Not those bastardized cut and edited for political correctness of the same cartoons they play today.

Simpson (always watch this even when I was a kid)

Quiet you whippersnapper!  Heck, the Tracy Ullman show didn't start airing until I was an adult.

Love Bugs Bunny, et al.,
Augie Dog and Daddy dog.
Underdog
Scooby Doo.
Rocky & Bullwinkle.

I used to watch Flintstones, and even when it got really bad (the space alien? Fred singing?) I watched, because it was a cartoon.  Now I don't think I'll ever watch it again -- just not that fun anymore

Not a cartoon but it was a Sturday Morning kids show from 1969 to 1974.

Anyone remember this ....

I'm a huge animation buff.

What do I like?

I watch Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, which I did get a little upset that they paved over Toon Heads and Sunday Night Black & White for.  A lot of what AS shows is garbage (Assy McGee--it's a show about a cop who's nothing but a pair of legs and a butt), but they do have some good stuff (Futurama, Family Guy, Home Movies, the Boondocks, Harvey Birdman, etc.).

I am an anime fan, and Adult Swim made me angry by removing Detective Conan and Lupin III (possibly my favorite cartoon franchise) from thier lineup.  Now we're stuck with crap like Fullmetal Alchemist.

The Fleischer Brothers- Popeye, Superman, Betty Boop, classics like Cobweb Hotel, Play Safe, Gulliver's Travels.

Animated features- Hayao Miyayzaki's films (Nausicaa, Totoro, Porco Rosso, etc.), Satoshi Kon's (Perfect Blue, etc.), some of Don Bluth's, René Laloux, etc.

I know I'm getting OLD!

My niece came down and spent the summer with us last year, she is a HUGE anime fan and she brought, I don't know a few 100 anime DVD's in those disc folders. She watched them from the time she woke up to the time she went to sleep everyday. She would talk anime, morning, noon and nght ... I would just nod knowingly like I had a clue I knew what she was talking about, which I didn't. The good thing is she is learning Japanese so she doesn't have to read the sub-titles.

Know I enjoy
Tripping the Rift
Stripperella
South Park
Family Guy
and the like.

Man, I loooooooove cartoons.  I just rewatched the Transformers Movie the other night [very much one of my 'comfort' movies.]

I won't put out a list right now, because I'm about to eat dinner, but Rich, I have a website that you might find interesting:

EXO SQUAD (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=96682435)

Can't remember where I got it from, but since there's been no DVD release, this has been a godsend, and very much the thing that made me realise Myspace isn't total crap!

I was a huge fan of cartoons as a kid, favorites off the top of my head:

Warner Bros. shorts. Esp. Daffy Duck and Foghorn Leghorn. Still love these when I can see them. Especially ones where Daffy is more off the wall (like the one where he's the "Mustache Fiend" or "Duck Twacy") or his WWII shorts. Also the ones with Porky and the Dodo, but the black and white version is better.

Hong Kong Phooey
Scooby Doo - then I smartened up
Super Friends - ditto
Johnny Quest
Space Ghost and related series
Lone Ranger
Tarzan - I'd like to see this one again
Shazam
Isis
Thundarr the Barbarian - until they went into endless repeats
Banana Splits
The Skate Birds
G.I. Joe
COPS
Robotech
Macron 1- so-so combo of two different anime series. But the commercials made it look cooler and darker than it was.
Bullwinkle
Underdog
Tennesee Tuxedo
Roger Ramjet

Later on up til I moved and ditched cable:
Batman: TAS
Ren & Stimpy
Rocko's Modern Life
Animaniacs
Felix the Cat
Aeon Flux - only the silent version
Sealab 2021
Space Ghost: C2C
Harvey Birdman
Aqua Teen Hunger Force - took a while to warm up to it
Venture Bros.
Cowboy Bebop
Outlaw Star
Samurai Champloo
Ghost in a Shell - Movies and series
Last Exile
Avatar: the Last Airbender
Paranoia Agent
FLCL
Justice League & Unlimited
Evangelion
Gasaraki
El-Hazard
Patlabor - movies & series

I'll probably think of some more....

What was the name of the cartoon which featured an highly strung blue-skinned hero with an exclamation mark on his costume?

That would be one of my faves, Freakazoid. Hopefully, WB will be releasing a DVD box set this year (I've read some rumors in a couple of places).

While I'm here, I'll add to my list some that others have mentioned that I forgot to:

Underdog
Space Ghost
(both the original series & Coast to Coast)
Roger Ramjet
Bullwinkle

Other non-cartoons that are still fond memories:
Captain Kangaroo (anyone remember when he was in a real house instead of the cardboard set?)
Land of the Lost
The Bugaloos
Zoom
You Can't Do That on Television!
(I had an odd thing for Moose)

Man I had such a crush on her (and Jan Brady) when I was a kid. I got this series on DVD for my kid and they had some extras on it of her as an adult. Eeewwww ... did not age well at all.

Never liked Land of the Lost. I was the one kid who was immune to liking anything by Sid and Marty Kroft. Yet I was a sucker for all kinds of Filmation cheapo animated and live action shows. I'd love a CD of the music they used on those shows. And they recycled that music the same way they reused animated action scenes - every frigging chance they could.

Non-animated shows I liked:

Zoom - I was so glad I had a shirt like they wore.
Captain Kangaroo - only remember the set, not a real house. But I do remember one of the last times I saw it, in the early 80s and they had tried to keep him "hip" by showing a music video or two during the show. "Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats was one.
The Electric Company - I'm convinced my crush on Rita Moreno back then is why I'm a leg man.
Sesame Street
The Letter People
The Muppet Show
Mr. Rogers Neighborhood
You Can't Do That On Television
- I was a Lisa fan myself, Derf.
Turkey TV

COl.McBragg!!!! :bouncegiggle:
Fractured Fairy Tales from the Rocky and Bullwinkle Sow were pretty great too!
I also enjoyed the HULK,Fantastic Four,CAPTAIN AMERICA" with his mighty sheild!",and SPIDERMAN cartoons of the mid sixties.
I love the Ramones cartoon/video of the Spidey theme!
Here's a "what was the title" for a cartoon I rember vaguely...It had a baby called Diaper Man,I believe, a hillbilly kind of superhero, a human tornado,(I think,) and maybe a guy who can turn into a rope? I know Diaper Man used to squirt the bad guys with his bottle...anyone...????

Boy RC, someone else remembers those Marvel cartoons. I remember them being on a our local Bozo Show. They were hardly animated at all, kinda like comic panels with voice overs.

"Doc Bruce Banner,
Belted by gamma rays,
Turned into the Hulk.
Ain't he unglamo-rays!
Wreckin' the town
With the power of a bull,
Ain't no monster clown
Who is that lovable?
It's ever lovin' Hulk! HULK!! HULK!!"

"When Captain America throws his mighty shield,
All those who choose oppose his shield must yield.

If he's lead to a fight and a duel is due,
Then the red and white and the blue'll come through.

When Captain America throws his mighty shield."

I also like Jonny Quest, but like every other kid I wanted to be Race Bannon.

Bullwinkle was also one of my favorites. All the Warner cartoons on Bugs Bunny and Friends.

I've picked up a lot of old and new stuff recently

Ulysses 31
Dungeons And Dragons
The Space Sentinels
Centurions
Hong Kong Phooey
Challenge Of The Super Friends
Aeon Flux
Duckman
Daria

But my favourite of the last few years has definately been the Justice League and when it changed to Justice League Unlimited it was like a dream come true seeing some of the characters they used.
