Title: Concorde: Airport '79 (1979)

Oh my... this is one utterly daft movie! Some terrible special effects, plot holes big enough for spelunking and an absurd premise - but yet somehow, it works! Certainly one for all the bad movie fans out there (although I hear that the European rip-off The Concorde Affair is even worse!)

I've reviewed it at my site, along with the other three Airport movies, available in a nice boxset:

It has George Kennedy in it. Actually, George Kennedy is in all four of them. The first one is by far and away the best of the four, but, having seen the first one and all three sequels,  I don't know whether this one is better or worst then the previous two sequels.

Great reviews, Tim.

I was nine when CONCORDE came out and they saturated the tube(all five channels!) with the ads for it.    They all ended with that shot of the Concorde spiralling downward.

...and thanks to NIGHTWING earlier that year(not to mention commercials for TIME AFTER TIME had me going berserk), I was in full David Warner mode.

That AIRPORT: Terminal Pack is a real treat for disaster film freaks like myself.  With CONCORDE, I have a hard time explaining to some of my friends just how excellent it is to be able to see such an incredibly bad movie in such a beautiful print.
