Title: some unlucky authority figure wearing cast and eye patch head explodes Post by: SpaceRock7 on February 11, 2007, 05:06:06 AM if i remember correctly the final scene of this movie has some type of villain walking into a room where they are holding some girl with psychic powers and she makes his head explode scanners style late 80s or early 90s ? he is wearing an eye patch and cast on his arm. i thought at first it must be some kind of sequel to "scanners" but i dont think it is now. any help would be purely platonic.

I think there are 2 or 3 sequels to the original "Scanners" plus there's "Scanner Cop."

It's been a while since I saw this film, but could your film perhaps be Brian de Palma's The Fury with Amy Irving, Andrew Stevens and John Casavettes? As I recall (SPOILER) Amy makes John literally explode :hot: at the end, I can't remember if he was wearing an eyepatch and cast, though. This is from the second tab of the user plot summaries.
"The other actors seem to work on routine; Kirk Douglas acts as if he's in a B-movie about spies, and has some bad dialogue to deal with. Andrew Stevens looks right for the part, and while not a convincing actor, his creepy hunk presence seems appropriate, especially towards the end of the movie. Cassavetes is OK, but not more, and looks somewhat uncomfortable with his black suit and busted-up arm."
