Title: Need title of old campy space movie Post by: anonymousone on February 16, 2007, 05:50:22 PM I saw this movie about 20 years ago and I would guess it was made in the 70s.
Here are the details that I remember. Explorers or scientists travel far away by space ship to a distant planet. On the dark planet, a ruler that looks like a robot has enslaved the blue skinned population. I remember the robot standing over a hill, overseeing the poor aliens who are digging. The human adventurers mix it up with the overlord and eventually escape with one of the blue skinned aliens, who joins the crew wearing their uniform. Then something happens on their way back (they're attacked or possessed, not sure) and the alien sacrifices himself to the save the crew and the last thing we see is the sinister looking robot. Looking at the pictures, I'm surprised the robot actually scared me as a kid.
