Title: Film about serial killer from the 60s
Post by: soundtransit on February 22, 2007, 06:13:43 PM
I saw this film in San Antonio during the late-70s.  I think that it was about a killer in Illinois who was killing women.  Toward the end of the film he tried to get past police checkpoints by driving a Tri-State Tollway maintenance truck in the midst of other trucks that were escorting high-security cargo.  Any clues to this film?

i doubt this is particularly helpful in your case, because i believe this film ended in a warehouse, but if you like 70s movies about serial killers, then you should rent "God told me to" -seriously f**ked up movie, be warned it's fairly slow paced (it is a 70s movie after all, or at least filmed like one).  found it funny as hell, hope you enjoy it if you get around to it.

I am pretty certain I have an answer.  "Nightmare in Chicago" from 1964.  One of the comments specifically mentions a government nuclear missile convoy on the tri-state highway.
