Title: 80's sci fi horror alien type movie Post by: Erykgecko on March 02, 2007, 07:38:40 PM ok, i'm fairly sure this is going to be an 80's movie, from what I recall, the effects would be too good to be 70's but if it were 90's i'm sure I would have been older.
I'm pretty sure I've seen the whole film, hurrah for parents that allow their little kids to stay up late watching gruesome horror films, but I can only seem to remember snippets from around the end of the film. Now I'm fairly sure the creature involved was some sort of alien from outer space, and I'm fairly sure it was captured by these guys, i'm assuming it was some sort of worm creature, because I ditinctly remember one of the guys going to visiti the other, only to find the alien had escaped and had worked its way into his friends body, and so the guy ends up stabbing his friend multiple times with a knife in order to try and kill the alien. (again, i think this is fairly near the end, but its just possible this was near the beginning since the final fight the alien seemed to be a lot bigger) the final fight, from what I remember, possibly took place in some sort of scrapyard, the main hero has a chainsaw and he's fighting the alien, and i remember the alien has tentacles of some sort because it graps his leg and starts dragging him towards it, but then chainsaw, hack slash, blood guts, you know, the usual :D thats pretty much all I can remember, but if anyone can help me figure out what movie this was, I will be eternally grateful :D Title: Re: 80's sci fi horror alien type movie Post by: nada on March 03, 2007, 05:02:46 AM It reminds me of Evil Dead 2 but there's too many inconsistencies.

I caught up with it when I was a little older and was very underwhelmed. The title completely evaded me though, until I dug around a little. I'm pretty sure its DEEP SPACE. There's even a review of it on this very site.

I used to own a copy and remember the stomach stabbing scene. Stars Charles Napier, Ron Glass, and Ann Turkel. I think Bo Svenson is in as the guys cop buddies' boss for a few minutes. Directed by Fred Olen Ray.
I like it for being a cheap goofy Alien knockoff, but I first saw it by accident when I borrowed a tape with various movies on it from a cousin, think it had Highlander, Commando or something like that on it that I wanted to see.
