I'm all for a Cryptozoology-themed monster flick, especially ones about the Chupacabra, or the Goat-Sucker. The Chupacabra is a Latin-American blood-sucking predator that hunts nocturnally. It prefers feeding from goats. If there's one thing Bloodthirst 2: Revenge of Chupacabras gets right, its the creature. It looks like the monster described in mythology, and only takes the victim's blood. Only problem is, it gets about 90 seconds of screentime in this entire 88 minute movie, and is never an integral part of the film until the last twenty minutes. Oh, and I've seen things in a PS1 game that looked more real.

The story goes as follows: A detective searches for a kidnapped young woman while people are occasionally attacked by a horribly animated CGI Chupacabra, which was recently released from a barn it was locked in. The editor seemed to have died from a heart attack halfway through post-production, so we have little idea of what the hell is going on. The writer and director both need some practise. Guys, just try making some shorts for a while before you try to make another feature film. I know this is a no-budget independent film, so I want badly to cut it some slack, but I just can't. It just... I apologise to any cast or crew of Bloodthirst 2 who may be reading this, but honestly, you all could have done much better.

Now that I'm done relentlessly bashing, I should list the good parts. Some of the acting isn't so horrible, and the CG animator at least pays attention to the shadows casted onto the Chupacabra. The creature looks kind of cool when airborne, too, and at least we get to see the damn thing. The way its finally dispatched of is rather original too.

I never saw the first film, but after this, I think I'll pass. I suggest you avoid both.
